Mtb hobby is filled with people riding 5k bikes , underskillled and over biked
My guy, Good lookin out! I just copped a new, all black BZ4X (Toyota EV lease deal) two weeks ago. Put on roof racks today and said "You know what I need a new FS carbon black bike for this". I'm replacing a 2017 Marin Iron Springs HT... Low and behold, your comment! I just got the XXL izzo 29 core 2. After the voucher code It came out to $1440 plus tax and shipping. Shipping is $120 to east coast.
Thanks champ! and thanks slickdeals!

I was close to buying an Ibis Ripley but been happy with the Element. I think it is a great bike, and while the A10 version here is lower end components, it is still a good deal and can be upgraded later. However, if you are just getting into biking I personally think starting on a hardtail (HT) is best, just not sure what deals are out there for HT. I bought a HT (RM Growler 40 for $1300) in October 2023 when I was just getting back into MTB and rode all thru winter, even on trails in snow before getting a fat bike. I now ride 4+ times a week and own 4 bikes. If you could only have one bike the Element is a good option.

It should be the air spring version, I'm pretty sure. The 2022 version says it has the air spring, so I would be surprised if the 2023 didn't as well.

Yeah if that 20% off code is legit you can get a Core 1 Izzo for $1600. Shame about that SX drivetrain though.

Pros and cons to each. I would probably go for the Rocky Mountain. You could flip a coin, or pick the one you think looks the coolest.
