What's the value if I can get the eg4 indoor model with more than double kWh? The eg4 is only $300 more.

I've never heard of those EG4's. Looks interesting. Can you daisy chain more of those together? That would be a nice and cheaper alternative. I would love to know if anyone had any experience with these.

Overall, there are so many companies out there now with the lithium iron batteries. I honestly have such a hard time figuring out the differences. I'm in texas, and looking for an alternative to a whole home generator, but it seems like the investment for the Ultra's is as high as a generator. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to factor in the 30% tax credit the batteries get you. Don't need to itemize from what I understand.

The EG4 batteries are a fantastic deal. If I can charge up 14 kWh super off peak and discharge during peak usage, I save roughly 24 cents per kWh, or around $3.36 per day. Payback period would be less than 3 years, not even counting the battery storage tax credit (which high assume is a wash vs installation cost).

Even if I don't use 14th during the 4 hour peak charge, it would still be less then 5 years covering 14th during standard use vs super off peak (saves around 14 cents per kWh).

Would this work with a solar edge inverter? Or do I need a solar edge battery? I have the proper inverter
