To be fair, the specs are that of a blazing fast laptop with a top quality screen…….hampered by software that will never take advantage of it
not to mention even if they do, probably need a keyboard and mouse to make it usable. how much are they charging for those keyboards now, i remember its like another $300+

Started the process for price match about an hour ago. At the time, my local Microcenter had this in stock (Houston).
Between waiting on hold, explaining that the price match process is approved for my local MicroCenter, and getting the rep to attempt to place the order - The Microsoft Center item went out of stock. Rep came back and refused the price match.
Tried the same with BB chat. They said yes to the PM initially, but then came back and required me open a credit card. I said no to the CC and they said not to the price match.
Tried another call to BB online sales - They said yes to price match, then came back and said no. However, they said the 256 13" model is going to be on sale in store next week for the same 10% off. They mentioned I could purchase now and use the 15 day price match guarantee for refund of the difference.
I'll wait it out until Microcenter gets another in stock or for the Best Buy sale to kick in.
Best Buy customer service has gone down hill so much over the past few years.
I'd rather purchase at MC given the better service... But the traffic on I-45 and significant chance of MC item going out of stock while driving is too much risk to make the trip without a guarantee.

I wonder if thats why my price matches have been so easy with BBY lately. I have their credit card and their total tech max plan. The rep initially told me she couldnt PM. I told her to use the correct zip code and the ipad was in stock for in store pickup. She then told me she can only PM if the item can be shipped. I then informed her that I purchased mine in store and didnt have it shipped. After about 5mins, she finally PM'ed.

Just got my ipad today! Wow the first thing you notice is how thin it is and also how gorgeous the screen is. I also got the keyboard - the keyboard is thicker and is also metal which makes me a bit weary since the screen touches upon the screen.
Another thing I noticed is how thick the combined keyboard and iPad are when put together. It's beefier, heavier and thicker than the previous model from last year.
Happy with buy thus far. Just wish I could have spent less on it. Sigh.
