Deal History

Not a fan of big brand sauces. I cook and enjoy making my own. But this sauce can be quickly improved by sautéing some fresh onions and garlic. Adding sauce, your favorite Italian spices and simmering for 20 minutes.
Coupon is only good for one jar. I'm sure Amazon is going to love sending one jar to my location. It will cost them more for shipping than it would have cost them to extend the coupon to a second jar.

In North America Ragu is owned by Mizkan, a Japanese company. Apparently (this is my speculation) Ragu is becoming a brand like RCA. Ragu is owned by different companies in other parts of the world.

You can find these at Kroger at similar prices when on sale.
Very True, unfortunately Kroger and other supermarket chains will not have all those choices on sale.
Look at the sugar content in almost all those Prego sauces. It has much more than other brands. You get what you paid for. Prego has one of the highest sugar content among pasta sauces. See enclosed picture.

I am not saying that added sugar is not bad for you, but your picture is a horrible representation.... Your not taking into account the serving size and total amount. So if you were to take the "simply" version for example and spread that out between 4 people the amount of sugar is pretty low and smaller than your other yogurt and other options you had pictured.
Yes still not as good as the RAO version you had pictured but way better than those snack items they were compared too, unless you eat a whole jar of pasta sauce by yourself in one sitting. I use the sauces for pizza sauce personally too and one jar is usually good for 3-4 pizzas, unless I am making a deepdish.
Silly me, I thought it was Subscribe & Save. I don't want to order just one jar to make its way to me all by itself. Would have been a good S&S filler item.

Sugar is where the flavor comes from in sauces. Generally that's what makes a sauce a sauce. Fat/oil makes creams an dressings; an salt makes dry seasoning.

BTW. Unless I'm adding wrong this is dead.
Considering you don't need to use much of Rao's sauce for the pasta to taste amazing, it comes out to about the same price.
