Not much better than the REI half dome 2 person tent, probably the better buy for most. Would consider it if it was under 3ibs
Minimum Trail Weight
3 lbs. 15 oz.
Packaged Weight
4 lbs. 11.5 oz.
Anyway I can guarantee that it is the best bad weather tent.

It's not crazy light, but a 5lb 2 man isn't going to be a massive problem. I doubt your scout trip sends new kids on 30 mile a day hikes.
When I got my 1 person it was included, but danged if I can remember where/when or how much I paid for it.
For reference I am 5' 6" and wear a 48 jacket. Width-wise it is fine, I'm not touching the sides. Since I'm short I have enough room to have some gear at my feet without being cramped.
Good deal but I don't place North face gear super high on my backpacking gear list. I scored a 3 person Sierra designs on closeout from Dicks and I simply trust the brand more.
Good tent, been through plenty of rain without any issues. I love the fly options with the dual zips. I do wish it weighed a little less, but it works for me and my kid.
The ONE time I'm glad to be 5 foot 11, lol.
