We switched from Nest and have been very happy. At the end of the day, they're both just thermostats with some of the same underlying features.

Don't overthink this purchase - if you need a smart thermostat, this is a great option to consider
Bought this a few months ago, Ecobee customer service was very helpful/walked me through installing the adapter. We're very happy with this thermostat. Previously had a Nest and we think this is a great thermostat
If you've gone beyond the price adjustment period, buy the cheaper unit (must be exact one) and return it with the old full price receipt.

Does anyone know Costco's price match or whatever? I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago at full price.

Also great thermostat, easy install, and the additional sensors seem to work well regulating temperature across our house that has a couple rooms that tend to be warmer than the rest of the house.

Edit: Costco has a price adjustment feature in the customer service section of the website/app to submit requests.

I believe you have a month to get price matched. Just call or message customer service. They're usually pretty good. I had them adjust the price on a mattress when they lowered it a few weeks later but more than a $100

Yes they do you just need to check the price adjuster. You can find it here https://customerservice.costco.co...w/a_id/628 , just fill out the request and they'll respond in less than a week.

Is this better than nest? I had the nest (the best one) but before moving I dropped and isn't working anymore

Suggest you check with your utility provider. In NY and NJ there are significant savings for similar smart thermostats in their energy conservation offerings. At one time the entry level thermostats were <$50.

I used a Nest for years and recently switched to Ecobee almost solely for the integration with HomeKit so I can use Siri to adjust my temps. That, and I got it for $25 from my electric company. Okay maybe that second one was the bigger reason.

Definitely look into any discounts that may be provided from your utility or energy trust. All I had to do was answer two questions about my home and plug in my address to find out if I was eligible. Well worth the 5 minutes it took to get such a steep discount.

Ecobee is great. Superb customer service, based in Canada. I just think it's A LOT in a thermostat. It's basically everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to functionality. For you and me, it's fine. For my parents, something a bit more chill like the latest mirror nest thermostat was the ticket.

Also the new nest thermostat works with HomeKit (through matter) and it works great

Solid thermostat. I have an ecobee premium thermostat with 3 additional sensors in my home (3000+ sq ft).

The added sensor give some great flexibility since they're both occupancy sensors and temperature sensors - the thermostat will essentially heat/cool up to the average temperature of sensors that you tell it to consider, and you can also set a minimum fan runtime to circulate air which I didn't realize how much that helped until I had this system.

Those of you considering this, be sure to check your utilities for rebates. My electric and gas providers gave me a fairly decent rebate.

Can the Ecobee log historical data? Such as I used AC for 20 hours this month, last month I used 50 hours, and this month but last year I used 30 hours.
