I have had this for years and hate it. I never feel like I can clean it well. Wife loves the aesthetic. I hate the functionality of cleaning.
Practical problem that I have faced, while using this: While filling it up, how do you know when the bottle is about to be full and when to stop pouring into it? We stopped using it and switched over to transparent/translucent bottles
I had one of these for a while, but oil would slowly seep out through the unglazed bottom. Not a ton, just enough to stain the counter where we would always put it. I switched to glass.

No need to totally fill it as even 3/4 full is a ton of oil for home use. You could also stick a funnel in it. When oil backs up into the funnel, it's time to stop. It's very easy, and filling it completely actually defeats the purpose of the design by not containing oil behind the weir and allowing oil to block the vented handle.

Obviously a translucent bottle let's light in which is bad for oil preservation, but the tinted green and brown glass helps.

I may be not as bright as you think I am Big Grin So, it wasn't very easy for me, even when using funnels.

Maybe a funnel with a longer stem could offer more warning. I've got a Winco 5" funnel.

As many have said, I loved the pouring but there were many disadvantages. First, it was horrid to clean. Basically, you will never be able to completely clean it due to the shape. If you put like soy sauce in it or something goes bad, its very difficult to get it all out. Lots of people complaining they can't see while filling. I was fine with this as I used the weight to determine how full. If you decide to get it…just use non oily things and it might be okay…i personally would stay away.
