Constantly, with goodnotes (before that notability).
My kids occasionally use the notes paintbrush, looks nice, taught school to them through the iPad for awhile, during that time they used it a lot...

It's pretty worth it. You could always try one out by buying both from amazon, return it after a few weeks if you don't like it/won't use it.
