Everyone should be aware that the plug is on the right side. It was a deal breaker for me when I bought it because I wanted to hide the wires which is on the left side of the room.

Is it me or do the Govee prices include a “gamer” premium? They started as RGB extensions for gamers and now are targeting mass-market but there are other cheaper light strips out there (eg Kasa). ...

Agreed. I have a bunch of Govee stuff and the M1 lights are amazing. I couldn't find a competitor that could offer the same or better as the M1.

I tend to agree with you. the specs on amazon say these are almost 8" although these specs don't seem right to me. 7.87 x 6.3 x 7.09 inches, they do not look cube shaped, they look more flat.
