This is a pretty good deal at $13.99 per bag. There seems to be a limit of five bags.

i highly recommend barista gran creme, but i've already tried it,
so i may pay more and try the barista perfecto now 20% off s&s.
do NOT buy the barista italiano - that stuff is vile.

super crema (brown or blue bag med) is bland compared to gran creme
which is a higher "intensity" with a earthy honey flavor note.
some may find gran creme bitter - if so, maybe try a cold brew method
or simply use fewer beans per usual.
If anyone is wondering, if you make a lot of espresso, especially lattes, this coffee has an intensity of 7 out of 10.

When I compare this to some of the lavazza offerings, such as the espresso Italiano with an intensity of 5 out of 10, I can clearly taste a difference in the lattes.

That higher intensity of 7 makes a big difference in the latte flavor IMO.

Nothing Earth shattering what I am sharing :-). Just some experience between those two offerings which are pretty popular.

It all depends on someone's flavor preferences. While it is supposed to be more bitter than arabica, I find this blend to be really enjoyable even when I make straight espresso.

But that doesn't mean you're going to like it too.

Edit: For example, this blend arabica/robusta tastes better, in my opinion, than the lavazza espresso Italiano which is 100% arabica.

That would last about 28 days assuming you're not dialing in and wasting beans that way. I just did some simple math. 1,000 g in the bag divided by two doubles per day where a double is 18 g of coffee. So 1000 / 36 is 27 days.

Because they do the nitrogen flush, which does not eliminate aging in the bag, but it drastically reduces it, and considering I've read posts online where folks had a bag had a manufactured date of 9 months earlier than the day they purchased it, and it still tasted good, I'd say you would safe to purchase five bags knowing You won't open that fifth bag 4 months from now.

I bought five bags and we go through a bag every 2 to 3 weeks.

Edit: Good luck with the new machine. You'll love it. I've read good things about it.

Thanks for the math. I haven't pull an espresso yet so I'm kinda foggy. We do pull 18g espresso.

Thanks. The machine is awesome. PID make it really easy to dial in my shot as a beginner. One button and it does pre-infusion, brew time to x seconds. Really take up the manual part out of pulling a shot.

Any Lavazza better than this?

Others can chime in. I've only tried there two products: Italiano espresso and his barista Gran Crema.

It's funny because I liked the Italiano espresso. And was going to buy more. But decided to try something new just in case there's something better out there. And it turns out I like the barista Grand Crema more than the Italiano.

I think my flavor profile is I like a mix of robusta and arabica and I like the higher intensity versus the lower intensity. 7 In this case versus five in the italiano.

But after I finish these five bags I purchased, I will try another blend from lavazza that has at least a seven intensity.

I'll chime in since I seem to always do on these — gran crema is my favorite blend, for the same reasons someone posted above. that said, $11-12 is a good deal, $13 is okay.
