That being said, it's easy to fall into the trap of buying a big set of tools and then not using a few that were included in the set. I fell into that trap and now I'm stuck selling off things because they are just taking up space and I don't see myself needing to use those tools within the next 5 years.
TLDR: good deal if you want all the tools, but may be better to put your collection together as you need the specific tools rather than buying and collecting dust.

I would usually agree, but most of these tools are about $100 on sale. The only downfall I really see is it appears to be a slow charger from the picture (but that may not be true) and having only 2 batteries would be a pain. However, woot runs semi regular sales on DeWalt stuff which includes batteries so I think that could be remedied fairly easily.

It's ok. I think the deal CatHerder1984 described is better.
It is an okay deal. Do you know what tools you need? HD also has the 6 combo kit without a flashlight filler for $499 and includes the tough system from dewalt

This was at $350 at my local HD but they're all sold out now

As a homeowner where my family were/are contractors for 50+ years this is more than enough for the home projects/volunteer etc. that I do. There are +/- to all major bands but it took 15+ years to beat up my Hitachi set. Obviously, the more you pay for anything the better quality/more features you usually get. The question is what is enough for you vs the price you pay.
That said there are never enough batteries EVER. My only thing on this set is I would have been curious about the DCF850 as that my #1 use tool and if I could dump my 12V tools (bought due to size) it would less stuff.
