2 gets a lot of hate but I enjoyed it as much as 1. Fume Knight is my all-time favorite Souls boss -- easy to learn, tough to master.

An optional area in one of the DLC regions had me legitimately feeling helpless, but in a way that makes you more persistent, determined, and focused on your build. After dying for the 30th time I said to my TV, "What am I supposed to do?!"

Even though this is the worst Dark Souls, it's still better than 95% of the big-budget games out there.

Darks Souls 2: Scholar of the 1st Sin has the best balance for PVP, best balance & variety for PVE character builds, & 2nd best armor options (after Darks Souls 1). However, DS2:SoFS has the worst variety for regular enemies & bosses, & the game's story is not directly related to Dark Souls 1 & Dark Souls 3.

All of FromSoftware's Soulsborne games (Demon's Souls & its remake, Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, & Armored Core 6) have frequent lag for coop PVE &/or PVP.
