No gaming laptop would have 64GB RAM anywhere near this price point, nor would the mobile 12GB 4080 be equivalent to this desktop 4080 with 16GB VRAM.

That being said, Legion 7, ASUS Rog Strix 18, and Acer Predator Helios 16, 18 or Triton 17 X are your closest bets.

Those high speced laptops usually have ram slot for easy 64gb upgrade

This is not a bad deal by any means, but I'd so much rather 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD

Your loss.... it would cost more to upgrade to 64GB.

When it's so easy to copy the SSD to the HD and back after installing a new SSD.

You've posted some good deals on the HP OMEN 17 with a 4090. B&H has reoccurring sales on it. It's probably the cheapest of the 4090 laptops (new). Would just need to purchase a cooling pad to keep the temps down.

Concur. I would take the extra ram over SSD space.

4800 slow? Ram speed means nothing in gaming and normal tasks. Barely impacts them. Milliseconds you are saving.

"slow" ram. please learn about complex computing tasks and memory use before you say "slow" ram for a few milliseconds here and there and actual benefits of ram at or past this speed.
