I personally think Amazon would still be the better option, in terms of time saved and ease of return if something should happen.
Not a fan of the dual button interface, but you do get used to it after using it. In reality though, I ended up on Med most of the weekend.

I was thinking about the mix of spot and flood that both of you mentioned and I guess it would make sense to me for this light to do a bit of both. If they are selling as a "tactical" light, I would imagine you'd really only be using this for shorter indoors distances, where you'd want a flood to fill the space so you could see but also maybe a spot to brighten the area you're wanting to focus on or blind/disorient something that isn't supposed to be there (bad guy or big game).
That's my thought process anyway. What do you guys think?
There was one time I had to contact support at Convoy for an issue on the button on their L8 model and they did the same thing, sent a replacement (without the battery) and didn't require the bad one back.

I did use High and Turbo when we were looking for an old mine. I use the red light on my headlamp for middle of the night bathroom runs and cooking (who wants bugs in your food).

Small and powerful for me means it uses one 21700 cell. I am not a hard-core/all night flashlight user so I hardly ever worry about maximizing battery life, that is, I care less about buck/boost drivers, nor PWM vs linear drivers etc. Powerful is good to discourage hostile animals and people, but I don't really care for how long the "Turbo" mode lasts.
Anduril seems complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature. Like 3 quick clicks to check the battery voltage. Brilliant. I don't care for learning some proprietary two-button combo (like this C8L offers). I mean with Anduril you don't HAVE to learn complicated click-hold combos if you don't want to. It still turns on with a single click, Anduril or not.
As far as light color, this is a bit of a personal pref thing, but I like neutral - not too blue, not to yellow, and definitely not greenish. 4000-5000 K is usually good, but it is just a number that does not represent a spectrum, so "it depends".
My current favorite is the Wurkkos TS25, which was on sale for a while for $20 (w/o battery, now sold out, sorry). For me, it hits all of the points mentioned above. Sure, it can be improved, with better drivers perhaps, but like I said, I don't care about that. Price, Power, Size/Weight, UI, and Light Color (both emitter versions) find a pleasing union there. Then again, I am sure there are "better ones" out there, and a successor to the TS25 is already on the way. Will take a while until it dips in price as much.
