Nice! So this is about $100 more than the FP deal with the 7900X. For gaming, there arguably isn't a big difference but if you're looking at content creation and productivity workloads, this 7950X is a good 20% faster than the 7900X simply because it has 16 cores instead of 12.

Ultimately it depends on what you plan to do with this PC and whether that $100 upgrade for faster multicore CPU performance is worth it.

4,049.99/2 ~ $2025, I'd buy it for that. Never paid the Nvidia tax, don't like dealing with Dell, and at this point that SSD should be gen5. Save your PCpartspicker market rationalizations for someone who gives a trump.

You're out of touch on literally every point you made.

Seems like both links (one in OP and one in the FP deal) go to the same PC.
Code:
wdr15amd50h
Also looks like the RAM dropped to 32GB. If you go to the R15 page, the clearance deal lists 7900x & 64GB but when you select that option it's a 7950x and 32GB.
Edit:
They updated the summary page at ...spd/alienware-aurora-r15-amd-desktop

It is not too bad if you needed a rig like this today, as long as you can deal with the limited upgrade possibilities this comes with (proprietary case, MOBO, and PSU). For example if you wanted to update your processor in a few years time, you would need to change out all 4 of them essentially.

I would go to say if you need a gaming/productivity PC with these specs, it's the best prebuilt price I've seen. Someone on the 7900X thread put together a PCPartPicker list and this was a few hundred dollars cheaper. Prebuilts with standard upgradable parts are even more expensive than that, clocking in at $3500-4000 which we would all agree is overpriced and not slick.

So ultimately, do you really want the 4090 and 7950x, or will one of the 7700/7800 + 4080 deals get the job done for you?

My order was just delayed 2 weeks for parts shortage. They didn't bother to delay it until today when it's being shipped with 2 day and my estimated arrival date was 2 days from now. Looks like they have zero communication or respect for your time. They'll wait until the last moment to notify you.

I am expecting this device to never ship and for me to have to cancel.
