Home Depot has the buy starter kit get a tool deal up for memorial day with this great hackable.

Order the m18 rocket light linked above, add the m18 battery starter pack - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../315426486 - batteries come down as 169.32 with a charger (not bad, that's under $15 an amp hour including a charger) & the light to a whopping 129.68. those who know the drill can do ship to different locations & cancel the batteries (or the light if you want them & not the light) &just pick up the other, or my preference, same store pick up, collect both, move over to return counter & only keep the 1 you want.
either way, m18 rocket light at the best price I recall seeing... and vets, obviously you should be able to apply your discount.

I was about to pull the trigger but bought this instead. It's omni-directional, 3 brightness and 3 temp settings, collapsing bump start one-handed tripod, and it unscrews and has a huge super strong magnet or hook to hang on ductwork or under hood of my truck. It has an internal 8Ah recharable battery with built-in USB-C and comes with a dang carrying case with a shoulder strap. You can run it off a phone power bank or outlet....and full price it's less than $80!

I'm sure they are referring to the idea behind it-- buying a package deal and returning part of the package to get one of the items cheaper. If this was a one-off rice mmmcake, sure-- but HD knows exactly what they are doing with these. Looks like a good deal, just not for me.

I like the rockets, already have the batteries (not a fan of built in batteries), also have the shore power option.

Plus I've already designed 3d printable hang bracket for the m12 version 😀, hoping there's almost no adapting to use with the m18 version.

having a few of these on builds is essential when powers not connected or breakers are off in assorted rooms as we reno.

We all have our pros n cons for tool decisions.
