Exactly. For me the follow on seasons of Black Adder is some of the funniest television ever made IMHO. Bean... couldn't make it through a single episode despite multiple attempts.

Actually, the older 3 disc set contains the as broadcast versions of the show as seen in the UK.
It was PBS and US VHS releases that contained the longer cuts.
