I'll definitely attach one of those spiral retractable spring coils to my belt, just in case I ever magnetic connect it to the golf cart.Smilie

I got a Visiocrest Laser Rangefinder for a song on here some months ago. How much better is a Rangefinder like this. Can anyone do a brief compare/contrast?

Will let others comment on their experience with these types of rangefinders, but I'd also look into Vortex for their lifetime warranty. More expensive, but I prefer to pay a little more for companies that stand behind their products (and Vortex does - a plastic trim piece came off on mine and they replaced it quickly and sent me a free hat).

A little more? The cheapest one on their website is 4x the price of this Redtiger unit.

Sorry. 2x. Still not sure how that's "a little more".

It should work for hunting. Kind of depends on the ranges you're looking at, but inside of 200-300 yards it'd probably be fine and maybe further. Advertised range of effectiveness is exaggerated in my opinion, even on more expensive "hunting" rangefinders.

Just another option to consider. My only point is that if that broke after the warranty, it's no longer such a good deal. If it lasts 10 years and does what you need it to, it's probably great. Best of luck!
