You know i looked it up and oddly enough not seeing the constant "get a month free of paramount on us" offers we used to see all the time but it could be I'm not doing a proper google search for said offers .. if someone knows otherwise please post the codes so people can try it free for a month and decide for themselves
One heads up I'd like to mention.. Paramount absolutely positively will not give a refund under any circumstances, their customer service dept told me that much even if they goof up and offer you a free month when you're about to cancel your subscription .. the paramount website said " we'll give you a frere month if you don't go ! " , emailed their customer service department AND phoned them too (I know I know too much spare time on my hands ) to make sure and the response was "yes" all around... only to find myself billed for the "free" month anyways and the reps basically shrugging their shoulders and saying " Nothing we can do".. it turns out that "don't go we'll give you a month free" offer works once and only once even if .. discouragingly enough.. the Paramount webiste and customer service departments say otherwise.. how they managed to goof that up I have no idea.
In my case since I had a pdf of the email from their customer service dept saying " Yep, free month for you" I submitted it to my credit card company, disputed the charge and got a refund (Paramount probably decided it wasn't worth their time to argue with my credit card company about it) so it might be worth submitting an " Hey is it really going to be this price?" type email to their customer service dept just to get it in writing in case you need that later on.
I wouldn't let that necessarily stop you either though iff they're offering a free month , there's a lot of good stuff on there you can binge.. Star Trek Picard, Star Trek Discovery, the South Park movies and renewed Beavis and Butthead for example off the top of my head. otherwise if you go for this deal I'm sure there are a lot of other great shows I don't know about too and when you consider Showtime being thrown in there for $60 a year not a bad deal in my opinion. I enjoyed The Tudors, Yellowjackets, Penny Dreadful in particular, Californiacation , didn't have a chance to watch Dexter but heard it's very good, all on Showtime.
Paramount needs to keep its sub numbers up, I'm optimistic the codes will return, though it is annoying they're making us wait.
I do hope so myself .. it is very true that the streaming wars are getting pretty intense and .. let's face it Netflix or Hulu has so many shows for the price you pay not to mention an advantage with the shows they have in their collection that I can see it being hard for Parmount Plus to compete, at least in my opinion.
One thing I forgot to mention.. if we get lucky and they start offering free codes again on a routine basis , people have reported being able to stack the codes and it works... otherwise if you use a free month, make sure to cancel before the free month is up, then say a few days later use the latest free code to get another free month I can tell you from personal experience that works too (back in the days when Paramount Plus was handing the free codes out like candy ) ...

+1
Had the same exact thing happen. Charged for free trial (charged same day....so wasn't case of waiting til day 30 to try and cancel). Had printed the order sheet showing $0 charge/charge after 1 month....and they still refused to refund. Disputed with my card issuer and was resolved.
I don't mind paying this price $5/mo for this "ad-free" version. I just don't think it's worth $11.99/mo to have Showtime that I don't watch.

these guys seem to think Parmount Plus will stop offering free months as often as they used to but again I don't know for sure one way or another.

Can you please tell the steps?
Me too. I canceled 1.5 years ago. Still free.
