Pretty sure it's aluminum. A water can couldn't hold in the beans, unless it was frozen solid.
Nah. I tried this. It stains any pot you use and takes a long time to cook thru. Not worth the small savings and mess

The texture of freshly cooked (from dry) beans is definitely better in my opinion. Pretty darn easy if you have an instant pot. I still eat mostly canned beans, but every time I make them from scratch, I wonder why that is.
And yeah...dry beans are cheap AF.
Bush's is a close second, but Goya has the highest bean count out of all the brands that I have bought.
So now I'm obviously picturing you buying cans of beans and then counting them all one by one.
