I will tell you a secret that really nobody knows and I just want to say that this is 100% for real because I have done this around 20 times in my life already and I have never gotten bit once - even when the mosquitoes were thick and swarming all around me.

Clove oil.

I buy 2 oz bottles of the essential oil from piping Rock for a few dollars a bottle and a bottle will last around 50 applications for one person. Each application is good for 100% no bites no matter how thick the mosquitoes are for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 4 hours. But you have to reapply it every 3 hours to guarantee you will not be bitten at all. The good part is that it only takes three drops from the dropper or an eyedropper per application straight from the bottle. You simply take three drops and put it into your palm and rub your two hands together and then go over your skin and the entire clothing you're wearing as well from head to foot and just keep rubbing all over your body like this for about 2 minutes and you will be 100% bite free no matter how bad the mosquitoes are or how many there are or whatever time of day it is doesn't matter either. It is 100% guaranteed to work 100% effectively like this. It is probably the best kept secret there is. The stuff is better than deet but only for 3 hours like I said. It is also not toxic the way deet is completely toxic.

try it and you will be shocked!!!
Consumer Reports cited studies that prove that that's types of wristbands are ineffective at repealing mosquitos.

https://www.consumerreports.org/h...neffective.

"But scientists who have tested these products have found them to be ineffective. In a 2017 study in the Journal of Insect Science, researchers found they had no significant effect in repelling mosquitoes. (Past CR tests found similar results.)

"It's not that they don't contain mosquito repellents," says Immo Hansen, PhD, a co-author of the study and professor of biology at New Mexico State University. But "wearing a bracelet to protect your whole body from mosquitoes," he says, is just not enough protection."

Interesting info. Really makes you think about all of the positive reviews and the power of suggestion, placebo, post-purchase rationalization and biases in general.

It's time-consuming and difficult to sort out the good products from the bad and far to easy to fall for the bad.

This will work to repeal mosquitoes, but only if mosquitoes sign an agreement not to land on a person who is wearing the bracelet.

Thanks 👍 I need to be studied because there could be 50 people in my back yard and I can be covered in 5 different types of sprays and braclets and everyone else is wearing nothing and I will have 10+ bites.

I will report back 👍

But this is plenty enough for your whole body. CR should do tests like mythbusters. Surely there's some type of arrangement or quantity that will be effective… like 10ea on your wrist and ankles.

It would be most effective if they impregnated a full body condom with mosquito repellent.

I was assuming this was purely a placebo effect, but some quick googling seems to indicate that there is something to it.

Thanks for the suggestion!

It does offer protection on the wrist at least half an inch in either side of it.

After several months of testing I can confirm that this bracelet only works in Antarctica and Iceland. No single mosquito bite... 🤣

I'm one of those people who act as the number one mosquito repellent to those around me, I always get all the bites. Have tried dozens of these bracelets from multiple brands, can't say they ever reduced even a fraction of bites. I've had mosquitos land on the bracelet, bite right next to it....The only ones that work for me will require some applicant being rubbed all over my body and clothes, and making me smell so bad that I easily repel all forms of life. No hack to be found here.
