I am not an MS person, but game pass is just better in every way for people who just wanna game.

I stocked up on cards when they were $30. Stacked four years' or so worth on my account. Had a single card in a drawer in my man cave. Went to redeem it after my subscription expired. Scratched the card to reveal the number. Entered it. It didn't work. Tried multiple times. No joy. Contacted CS. They said it was a valid number, but that they couldn't accept it because it "expired". There's no mention of any expiration date on the card. Then they said that there would have been one on my receipt (also incorrect โ and at which point, the transaction was made, so adding terms "post purchase" would be borderline criminal). They asked me to send pictures of the card. I did. Then they asked me to send my receipt (I couldn't do that as I didn't keep a 4+ year old receipt for something I shouldn't need to keep a receipt for). They said that since I didn't have my receipt that they couldn't help me โ even though, again, admitted it was a valid code.
Essentially it's gift card fraud as gift cards (from what I understand) should never expire.

2. Thats PS customer service regularly sadly, sorry it had to happen to you. They are notorious for making anything for us as difficult as possible, hell look at the return system. They wont even refund a pre order (preordering digital games is weird af to me). Amazon has let me return new games, and my reasons for return are this game is ass or something similar, and they never care!
My psn ran out last month and Im refusing to renew, even though the rere part of my brain wants to keep it just because how long I have had it. Sony used to at least pretend the cared about us, 2024 Sony just doesnt give a damn BLATANTLY.
