Game is pretty fun and works great on Steam Deck BUT BUT BUT is online only. Even for single player. Dev's said almost a year ago they are working on an offline mode but nothing to date of a status or ETA. You will get booted from a active game even if you lose connection ever so briefly. I ended up refunding for that reason.

Edit: I really dig the entire Warhammer thing (but don't like turn based RTS games) so will buy instantly when they add an offline mode.

Not sure what blunders you refer to but Steam has almost daily sales. Many scheduled months ahead of time. Highly doubt this sale is related to some perceived injustice 3 redditors have decided to go on a holy war against.

BTW, which blunder do you speak of? The only outrage I have seen recently was the entire Helldivers / PSN thing which seems silly at best.

I had not heard about that but I could see hardcore 40K fans getting upset with any change in lore.

However to me (not harcore about canon) it is like Star Trek adding black Vulcans. The entire story requires suspending major belief, but this is where people choose to draw the line.

This is a hell of a deal. This game was well supported since it has come out. if you like Diablo style action RPGs and Warhammer 40k give it a try.

I heard through the grapevine, so ready your grain of salt, it was related to the Warhammer show, and since it's an Amazon show they required some DEI sacraments despite the all-female factions you already mentioned. So ultimately, the female Custodes was a compromise because the Space Marines was the first request.

I like Diablo but per IGN i am not sure I would enjoy this. I already have Chaosbane and it just does not grab me and make me want to play like a Diablo game.
