Don't know why it got hated on when it released. I played the heck out of this.
Hopefully not spoiler, but the story is not really related to the original trilogy and kinda runs in parallel… sort of. So not really a sequel to original but is in the same universe but different galaxy. I don't think it ruins the original story at all as it's not quite related.
I really enjoyed Mass effect 3 multiplayer. It was absolutely sad they didn't include the multiplayer in the legendary rerelease. I'm kind of excited to play this one though, even if it's years after. maybe it was just really hard up to live up to the originals because it was so epic.

Same. I'm a big ME fan and I enjoyed it. I played it to 100% platinum on PS4 on release. Yes there were visual bugs but nothing was game breaking for me. The characters aren't as good as ME2 but it still scratched the ME itch and had that ME moment in the story where it all comes together similar to the feeling from ME1.
And multiplayer in ME3 and Andromeda was a lot of fun too although I'm sure it isn't what it once was in multiplayer.
I think a lot of the hate was bandwagon stuff. Some gamers love to be outraged even when it's not justified lol
