What Should The Maximum Federal Income Tax Rate Be? Feel free to be specific as to whether this rate would apply to the poor, the middle class, the rich (e.g. $250,000+), or the "elite", whomever that may be. The poll is just a guideline; be more specific in the thread if you wish. EDIT: Keep in mind that due to a lack of celery, this poll is to be labeled as unscientific. I have voted the same comical answer in this poll as I did the last time it was asked.
Steve Gibson on password policies [grc.com]: I mean, I don't get this change it every eight weeks. ... It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?

****Spoiler Alert*****
Most of people who complain that the "rich don't pay enough", won't respond to this poll, except with comedy/celery/ etc. “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.”

Depends, I could go with anything between 30 and 39 for the highest bracket depending on the specifics, how much there are in terms of deductions, & what's needed to balance the budget. TBH, I'd rather see a flat progressive tax, as in tax brackets based on gross income, but everyone in the same bracket pays the same percentage, regardless of circumstances. The fewer deductions allowed, the lower the percentage that's on the books for any particular tax bracket should be. I'm not entirely sure how all the specifics work out.
On the other side of the equation, we could cut spending somewhat, in the areas of pentagon (like the single engine jet, that Congress was going to allocate 2 engines per jet for), Medicare, Medicaid. If one has to abide intolerance to be considered tolerant, then the word loses it's meaning.

![]() Exactly. What level would the 110% kick in at 'mouse? |

Take all the deductions you want but at some point an AMT means test for investors and loophole tax dodgers HAS to kick in and an AMT HAS to be paid. |

![]() You guys don't even understand how radical you are and ridiculous you sound. The income tax was approved by the 16th Constitutional amendment. That's democracy, not slavery. |
