The racism of Ron Paul

The media is used to being able to dig up juicy dirt on candidates, especially at their choosing; is this garbage all they can drag up about RP?

government as an institution is particularly ill-suited to combating bigotry in our society. Bigotry at its essence is a sin of the heart, and we can't change people's hearts by passing more laws and regulations.

In fact it is the federal government more than anything else that divides us along race, class, religion, and gender lines. Government, through its taxes, restrictive regulations, corporate subsidies, racial set-asides, and welfare programs, plays far too large a role in determining who succeeds and who fails in our society. This government "benevolence" crowds out genuine goodwill between men by institutionalizing group thinking, thus making each group suspicious that others are receiving more of the government loot. This leads to resentment and hostility between us.

Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racist.

The true antidote to racism is liberty. Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims. Liberty means free-market capitalism, which rewards individual achievement and competence, not skin color, gender, or ethnicity.

This is what happens when your the top dog.

What I love about it is that not only does everyone know he didn't write them, but if someone actually wanted to read what what he has written about racism, they'd be very impressed.

and you can actually tube what he's said about racism, not just read it...these days, I always like to see footage of what someone says, as opposed to see manipulated and spun media that MSM puts out... listen and watch to what he's actually said and how he talks about civil liberties, and it just doesn't make sense that he wrote any of this...now, I do feel he MAY know, not certain of course, but I think he may not want to throw someone under the bus.

What I find interesting is the MSM has no interest in finding out the answer to the question they ask, "Who wrote them?" They would rather just bring the issue up 1000 times, associate Ron Paul with the negative writings , and not do any actual journalism/research themselves. If they were actually interested in the topic from a true journalistic perspective, they would be out pounding the doors and making phone calls to the people who were involved in the newsletters.

If you get your news from the television, then you should know that Ron Paul is racist.

I don't get it .... do you guys buy into his excuse that he did not know these statement were being published in his name? Rather than rdidicule, why don't you guys talk to the issue?

Realize this ..... I like Paul a lot. I am likely to forgive him is he ask for forgiveness.

I am a very forgiving person if forgiveness is properly and sincerely asked.

... I think its more likely a person who has very little prominence in the libertarian movement today (or else they would have signed their names for the noteriety).
