The media is controlled by elites. There has been massive consolidation within the traditional media, jobs are scarce, and the ability to control the narrative has been aided by this consolidation. Then a young man named Alex Jones up and starts naming names and staking out the secret meetings and infiltrating the bohemian grove, and exposing all these secrets... and he is able to sell over the air radio show as a syndicated product and even get on XM. Maybe they just let him rant as a distraction from their real agenda. Or maybe they are just incompetent as conspirators.
