Don't waste your vote, vote third party!

Dear podiumites,

If both political parties supported re-instituting slavery would you vote for the party with the superior stance on foreign affairs?

If both political parties supported mandatory flogging for chewing gum, would you vote for the party with better social welfare policies?

Do you believe in the extra-judicial killing of suspected criminals? What about suspected terrorists?

This goes beyond the Patriot Act.

Both political parties support assassination of US citizens. Both political parties support indefinite detention without charges. Both political parties are committed to destroying our civil liberties in the name of safety. In the name of our defense we are killing citizens of sovereign nations against the will of that nation. This is a bipartisan effort. If you do not want this to continue, do not vote for either party. Vote green, vote libertarian, vote socialist, vote constitution. Do not vote for team purple, or you are voting for the curtailing of our civil liberties and the deaths of innocents abroad. Feel free to read more below.

While everyone is bickering about minor disagreements on just how far the government should intrude into our lives, it's important to look at the bipartisan supported policies. Indefinite deficit spending, bailouts, and drone wars. That's what you are voting for.

Well he has been continuing Bush policies (bailouts, patriot act on steroids, continued foreign adventures on a smaller scale, extending tax cuts) so I somewhat agree.

I agree OP, always voting for the lesser of two evils sends the message that it's ok to stand for shitty things, as long as you aren't as shitty as the other guy. I'm never going to sign my name up to someone that supports endless wars on drugs, turrism, erosion of civil liberties or torture. Sometimes not voting at all is the only answer a principled person can take.

I think I am staying at home this year. Obama's got this for sure and not like it matters in NY, now if I were in a swing state, it would be different. I'd go vote for Obama or a third party just to defeat the inept Romney campaign.
