The conventional wisdom at this point is that Obama has a 75% chance of winning with Rmoney 25%. I agree with that.

PA isn't exactly a big-time swing state. Try FL, VA, NC etc.

I'm not sure how having someone on who's even less popular than Ron Paul is helpful. Personally, Gary Johnson is far more palatable than RP, but I mean, it's the presidential debates, not a drum circle.

Plus there is no energy and enthusiasm for Romney. he is getting out fund raised, people just don't want to give money to this guy. Sure there are some Big time donors. But once they see things are looking bad. They will dry up.

Like ROmney's campaign manager said "We don't care about Fact Checks" or words to that affect That was really their Lip Stick on a Pig Moment. The American voter is smarter than you think Romeny wants to run a campaign of lies and half truths. And thats turning people off. Plus the 47% comments in the hidden video style will all but tank him.

Not so much the words but the way it was release in a $50,000 a plate dinner, speaking off the cuff to fat cat donors. Both independent voters and republicans said Oh this is what he is really like.

I don't know what to think about all of that. I don't watch polls closely.
My guess is it will be a very close election. Could go either way.

things should be tightening now, instead they are widening. Plus Romney trails in all Toss-Up States that matter.

Double digits in PA. 2 points pts 4 in NC, and 2 pts in FL new numbers will be published soon. I am looking at FL if Romney goes down a few points.

About the worst thing Mitt could do is talk to the base. He already has their vote, more talking only makes it more obvious:

1) he's not christian, like, at all
2) he can't relate to their troubles, economic or otherwise
3) he's nothing like them, at all

At least Bush got most of the new-england old-money sheen polished off when he was down in the texas finishing school. But Romney is still the quintessential "elitist" who can't stand being within smelling distance of the unwashed masses.

Was watching PBS and the guy was talking about Mitt's charity work and the "regular people" at the convention who told stories about how he helped them, etc. Was saying how he thinks Mitt is a genuinely nice person who helps people on a personal level, but that very little of that comes across, or is even tried to put across, from Mitt's campaign.

One reason being "Mitt doesn't like to talk about that kind of stuff" and toot his own horn. Though another reason might also be that the campaign has trouble linking "Mitt is charitable and helps people on a personal level" with how that improves things for the country as a whole on a general level.

Ah, but Mitt is white and Obama is black. Historically there is a 5% discrepancy between voters that say they're voting for a black candidate and then don't at poll time. No matter how much Mitt is an embarrassment to all Americans, not just Republicans, he has that white thing going for him. The voting sheople just want someone they can relate to (that look like them) independent of whether the party (GOP) espouses a platform/policies that will be detrimental to them. Let's just keep concentrating the wealth at the top which is the one policy that all of the Republican party now agrees upon. It's been a successful tactic for thousands of years. The sheople just don't seem to know history (baaaaaa), or simply don't care.

Ironically Obama ran against McCain in 2008 who him and his wife are Billionares Romney is not a Billionare.

Obama at the time had 1 Car MCcain 12+ and a Private Jet and Yacht
Obama owned 1 house McCain 8 houses

and so on

the same can be done with Romney.
