Something is fishy about this story. The title claims he was suspended for not stomping on Jesus but the story says he was suspended for complaining. The story doe snot say students were supposed or asked to stomp on Jesus.

I am even suspicious that he was suspended for either of the two is he was suspended at all.

This sounds like crap reporting and reporting crap.

It also says the teacher was using a lesson straight out of the book, which is great because the whole thing taps into the mistrust of the education system and fear of teachers that some "types" have. I wouldn't be surprised if there are facts omitted from the story or if there is even a story there to begin with.

Well, against my better judgment I cliched on the link and also watched the video in the article. It was mentioned that the student was suspended from the class.

And here is the title the poster presented to us:

"FAU student suspended for not stomping on Jesus"

I will bet with anyone that that is NOT what he was suspended for. And he was suspended from just that one class. I really resent when an attempt is made to hoodwink me.

The U.S. CONSTITUTION HAS WON!!! Under the threat of A TORT LAWSUIT for "breach of contract, defamation and emotional distress", the SC Flag-Stomping Teacher has become $85,000 richer, not including the salary he has been receiving while suspended.

This is precisely why we need tort lawyers. They're the only people standing in the way between a lynch mob and the United States Constitution.

Nope, the insurance companies and lawyers win again:

"Based on financial considerations related to anticipated legal fees to defend such a suit, the insurer made the decision to make a monetary (offer) to Mr. Compton. He accepted the offer."

Very nice.
The school district getting sued would have been interesting to watch go down, but I guess he is getting some money, a recommendation letter, possible unemployment, and didn't have to admit to doing anything wrong.
