Great running shoes. One of the best rated speed/daily running shoes. Search for reviews, most runners love the lightness, confortness and how the upper hugs the feet. I would say the only downside is the durability of the semi exposed midsole but it can still take 300 miles easily. I bought 3 pairs of Mach5 last year.

Why would I exaggerate? This is what you get when you don't add a rubber tread to a running shoe. Exposed lightweight foam and asphalt don't mix.

Let's face it guys for about the last 8 or 9 years. All the major athletic shoe manufacturers have switched over from a mesh woven material to a sock that they literally glue onto the shoe. This is a money main saving procedure And whether it was Brooks or Saucony or any other brand. The build quality went totally downhill and the problem is is you literally have a sock glued to the sole of a shoe. Literally the box cost more than the shoes do. Do there's no way you could get 500 mi out of 2023 pair of Brook s running shoes the same way you could in 2010. They've just cheapened up on the material quality. I won't bore you with the photos of my running shoes, but I've got over 40 pairs of running shoes. This allows me to rotate them and that way I've got running shoes that are 12 years old that look like they're maybe 12 months old.

My biggest problem is I have to constantly have the insoles reglued to the soles because the adhesive just gives out.

Not paying $90 for $0.37 worth of sock glued on to $2 worth of foam

Poster may be exaggerating with "shredded", but buyers should be aware that the Mach 5 has no rubber outsole, so the cushioning foam is totally exposed. Most YT reviewers loved this as a short distance performer but noted that they aren't the most durable.

Is it available online or in-stores as well? I do not ever recall seeing HOKA in my local warehouse in NorCal...all I see is Nike, Adidas, Puma, NB etc.

Do you think the performance or change in feel is worth the durability tradeoff? I supposed you could go light trail runners if you want more structure.

Sorry, i didn't get your first comment...

What makes them good running shoes compared to those brands?

You don't need them.

Good shoe. Never like Hokas until Mach 5 came out. The dual density foam on this works great. It will wear out more because of the exposed sole.

I got the same pair a few weeks ago. Ran about 20 miles so far. Good cushioning and light. Yes they'll likely wear out faster than some; if you use them exclusively for running, for most runners these will still last the entire running season if not more.

Wtf. Literally pulled it up and it reflected 80ish dollars. Got sidetracked working. Went back about 45 minutes later, added it to my cart and now it's $111. Weak
