During CES 2022, Razer revealed a new lineup of Blade Laptops that look nearly identical to those of last year but make significant internal hardware upgrades. The Blade 14, 15 and 17 will now ship with Windows 11, can be outfitted with the latest GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs and include DDR5 memory for enhanced performance.
One big announcement for the upcoming Razer products is their compatibility with the ultra-powerful GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, which marks the first time the graphics card has been available in a gaming laptop. The trio also incorporates the 4th generation of Max-Q Technologies (including CPU Optimizer, Rapid Core Scaling and Battery Boost 2.0), allowing for significantly better performance than the Blade laptops from 2021.
“The Razer Blade series continues to be the best gaming laptop by providing desktop-class performance on-the-go,” said Travis Furst, senior director of Razer’s Systems business unit. “Additionally, we’ve enabled creators to work anywhere with gorgeous displays, available NVIDIA Studio drivers and up to 14-Core CPUs. Users will have the ability to choose any model or configuration that best fits their gaming or creating needs, while getting the latest and greatest in graphics, memory and processing technology.”
Razer has always allowed for a large degree of customization with its products, and 2022 will be no different. Aside from your choice of RTX 30 Series GPUs, you’ll also be able to build your Blade 15 and 17 with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series processors (maxing out at the i9-12900H with 14-cores). Meanwhile, the Blade 14 is offering the high-end AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX on all configurations. A variety of screen options are also available, including an UHD display on the Blade 17.
In other words, all three laptops should let you play today’s hottest games without breaking a sweat – and will look good doing it.
Here’s a closer look at all three Razer Blade laptops arriving in 2022:

Razer Blade 14

  • Starting Price: $1,999.99
  • Pre-Order: February 10th
  • Launch Date: Q1 2022

It should come as no surprise, but the smallest laptop in the Blade lineup is still the cheapest. Aside from its 14-inch screen and the swap to AMD processors, however, much of the internal specs remain the same as its larger siblings:

  • 14-inch display (FHD 1920 x 1080 or QHD 2560 x 1440)
  • AMD Ryzen 9 processor
  • 16GB DDR5
  • 1080p IR webcam
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series GPU
  • 1TB SSD
  • Windows 11

Razer Blade 15

  • Starting Price: $2,499.99
  • Pre-Order: January 25th
  • Launch Date: Q1 2022

Sitting nicely between “portable and playable,” the Razer Blade 15 is small enough to travel with yet large enough to game on without squinting. A variety of screen options are available, including an UHD 144Hz selection that offers one of the best images in mobile gaming.

  • 15.6-inch display (Multiple configurations, including FHD, QHD and UHD)
  • 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series GPU
  • 16GB DDR5 memory
  • 1TB SSD
  • Windows 11
  • 1080p webcam

Razer Blade 17

  • Starting Price: $2,699.99
  • Pre-Order: January 25th
  • Launch Date: Q1 2022

If you don’t mind the difficulty of lugging around a gigantic laptop, there’s little else to complain about with the Razer Blade 17 (aside from its hefty price tag, of course). In fact, 2022’s model actually makes travel a bit easier with a newly designed charger that’s slimmer than your standard 180W brick.

  • 17.3-inch display (Three configurations including QHD and 240Hz options)
  • 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series GPU
  • 16GB DDR5 memory
  • 1TB SSD
  • Windows 11
  • 1080p webcam
  • Eight speakers

These Powerful Gaming Laptops are Currently on Sale

Razer might be the most well-known name in the world of gaming laptops, but it’s far from the only brand churning out quality gear. LenovoDell and even HP have a few products that work just fine for a night spent behind your battlestation – and many are starting 2022 with huge price reductions.
