I was just going to ask if this was a good set and a good price? I see the CAP 7ftbar alone is $100+ but that has a 1000 lbs capacity. Anyone know what this holds?

This bar isn't high end, but it works fine with the included weights. I think the limit is 300lbs. The weights alone are worth the price.

If you plan on doing any lifts with the full weight you will be disappointed with the bar. It will flex where a better bar wouldn't. However, the price for the weights alone is great.

owned this set for 2 years
bar has slight bend from failing a rep (bar landing on safety's)
also bar is ribbed and grinds the inside of weights leaving paint splinters till bare metal

weights themselves are good

Same set from Dick's with a little work. It was on sale for $190. I used a 10% off code to drop the price to $171. Tax took the total up to $182.95. I paid with gift cards that I bought at a discount. Actual out of pocket for the set (tax included) was 152.77. I got a smoking deal then, but this set is still a great deal at this price.

If the bar ain't bending, you're just pretending...or you have a high-quality bar. This weight set on a bad day is 10x better than a pair of Soloflex dumbbells on a good day. YMMV.
