Bought this unit several weeks ago from DJI certified refurbished marketplace seller on Newegg.com. Unit came and it looks like new. The stickers on the outside edges however were coming off. If I had not known it was refurbished I would have thought it was new. Works great no issues at this point. Hope it stays that way as I have heard horror stories in regards to support.

Check your serial number.

If it doesn't end in "R", then you did get a new unit.

And yes, the stickers aren't "stuck on" very well. Folks on the DJI forum don't seem to care about them, but I've taped mine over with clear tape for a little more protection.

You can find the serial number on the original box or under the back of the drone (open photo link in new tab to view).

The serial number should be read as one continuous number: "P8000L280R0454"

Note: Serial number has been photoshopped for security reasons.

Honestly, I doubt I'll ever approach the range of this thing. My plan is more for nearby aerial photography. Homes, properties, and such. Plus I'd feel really uncomfortable flying beyond my vision.
