What is with old people and technology? STOP MAKING EXCUSES!

Why do so many old people complain about technology? I see them trying to use a computer or smart phone and they get upset, or when others enjoy the technology they have to butt in "In my day we entertained ourselves with sticks and stones."
Ok, so if we all listen to our older generations and stick with what they had we'd all be in the dark ages. We'd have no electricity or running water because walking to the well was good enough. We'd be using leaves to wipe our butts because that's what the cavemen had and it was good enough for them.
And to top it all off they're hypocrites. Internet, TV, video games, and smart phones are bad. But pace makers, blood thinners, and life support machines are ok? Why don't we take away all the technology that's keeping you alive WAY passed your expiration date, because you know back in your grandparent's grandparent's day, when someone got sick from Polio they died or were paralyzed the rest of their lives.

If you're old, don't complain about technology when it's technology that's keeping you alive. You don't have to understand or like it, but don't put others down that do.

The bluray player she used to stream netflix kept giving her issues so I bought her a smart TV for Christmas and worked with her for a few days while I was in town to make sure she had the hang of it.
Once in awhile something glitches and she gets frustrated but now she loves having that, Amazon prime movies and youtube things to watch when she isn't out playing bridge and running errands.
