STAPLES competitor coupon acceptance policy
STAPLES retail stores accept mailed or circular/newspaper coupons from other competing office supply and electronics retailers. Known retailers are: Office Depot, OfficeMax, Circuit City, Best Buy, Microcenter among others.
Acceptance is by manager discretion according to how "local" the competitor store is (another state may not be accepted), but according to corporate the policy is firm.
If you have a valid coupon from a competitor for an item they stock, it should be accepted under their price match policy. If you encounter a clerk who doesn't know of the policy, take the issue to the manager, and if even she/he doesn't know (happens) feel free to note his/her name and the store number (usually at the top of a receipt). Then call the Staples "Office Of The President" toll free number. Ask them if the policy is in effect nationwide, and when they say yes (current as of this post), give them that name and number, and inform them of what occurred and the names of those involved. Say you'd still like to use it now, and they may keep you on the line while they reprimand them, and tell you to go back in and make your purchase.

Re: Office of the President: Staples' retail stores are not to accept competitors' internet coupons (customer printed). Only coupons from catalogs, newspapers, flyers, and mailings will be accepted. - In effect as of 11/2011

Asking for coupons.
Many people ask for the same coupon and there is a long list of members looking for the same unique coupon. Before asking for someone to give you their one time use coupon, do a Google search for the coupon. Most of these coupons are easily found (for a fee).

My guess is no, but I threw mine away already. I'm curious but not concerned personally.
I'm talking about the dozens of 10o30 coupons I got throughout 2024. All were printed to show expiration on the day it was issued. But all actually appear to be coded to expire on 12/31/24. I used some of them after the supposed expiration date, and on the receipt, it would print out the coupon code used, and this 12/31/24 date. So obviously, things are not exactly as presented.
So my question is ... did they actually expire on 12/31/24, or can I still use them? I definitely understand I can try to talk the manager into something. I can also go to the store and try to use them at checkout. Or I can throw them all away now. I was hoping to get some information here to help me decide what to try or not.

This week Staples has an in-store offer:
$20 Promo Card towards a future purchase when you spend $50 or more.
* Valid 1/19/25–2/1/25. Offer and promo card valid in store only. Exclusions apply. Offer and promo card only available in the Staples® app. Must present app offer and provide Easy Rewards™ account number at checkout to qualify. Limit one per Easy Rewards account. Promo card will be delivered to eligible member's Staples app on 2/4/25. Promo card must be redeemed in full in a single transaction by 3/1/25. May not be combined with any other promotions or coupons. See Staples app for details.
Question: suppose that I also have an easy rewards offer for 15% back in points on k-cups (some of these coupons are user specific).
Can I purchase $50 worth of k-cups in my local store and double dip (meaning: get both the $20 promo card and $7.50 back in rewards)? Or is this excluded with the "may not be combined language" and Staples system knows to stop the double dip?
Thanks in advance......
I used to get the 5 digit coupon code in the email, but they stopped a while ago. Checked online and it says the last coupon expired 12/21/24.
Thanks in advance.
