No purchase necessary. The 2017 Contest (the "Contest") sponsored by TELUS Communications Company ("Sponsor") commences on July 19, 2017 and ends August 31, 2017. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on August 31, 2017 (the "Contest Closing Date"). To enter, go online and completely fill out the entry form, including your mailing address, e-mail address and daytime telephone number, accept these contest rules, then click on the Submit button. Entrants must complete all mandatory fields on the contest entry form in order to enter for a chance to win.
By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations (the "Rules"). Participants may use the contest widget on the entry form to earn multiple entries. Actions that will allow a user to earn additional contest entries include: visiting the Telus Facebook page, watching an H&H DIY video featuring Google Home, following Telus on Twitter and other actions.
CONTEST DRAW: One winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received in a random draw conducted in Toronto, Ontario on September 7, 2017. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible online entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date.
PRIZE: Prize value of $179 CAD. The winner will receive one Google Home voice-activated speaker valued at $179 CAD provided by the Sponsor.
The Sponsor, at its option, may substitute any prize for equal or greater value. Winner agrees that the prize is being provided 'as is,' and House & Home Media and the Sponsor make no warranty, representation or guarantee regarding any prize, including but not limited to its quality, condition, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Winner must look solely to the manufacturer(s) for any such warranties or guarantees.
Selected entrant will be notified by email or phone. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within seven (7) business days, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, or fails to complete and return the required contest documents, he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected. The selected entrant will be sent a Declaration and Release form by e-mail. In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question on the Declaration and Release form and the form must be signed and returned to House & Home Media, releasing House & Home Media and Sponsor from any and all claims or causes of action arising out of the entrant's participation in the Contest and receipt or use of any prize, confirming compliance with the contest rules, accepting the prize as awarded and consenting to the use of his or her name, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by in connection with this Contest. The winner's name may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope before September 7, 2017 to: House & Home Media Contests, 511 King Street West, Suite 120, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2Z4.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority within their province of residence, excluding residents of Quebec, and excluding employees, families or affiliates (or those with whom they are domiciled) of House & Home Media and Sponsor.
GENERAL: This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. By entering the contest, participants agree to be bound by these Rules and by the decisions of the contest judges, which shall be final on all matters relating to this contest. All entries become the property of House & Home Media and none will be returned. House & Home Media and Sponsor reserve the right to withdraw, terminate or modify this contest or any portion of this contest, or extend the deadline of this contest, at any time without prior notice. Entrants (i) acknowledge compliance with these Rules including all eligibility requirements; (ii) consent to the broadcast, publication and/or use, in any medium whatsoever, including any websites operated by the Sponsor, of the entrant's name, contest submission, and his/her participation in the prize, for publicity purposes carried out by the Sponsor or its advertising and promotional agencies without payment or compensation of any kind; and (iii) agree that the Sponsor and House & Home Media are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, microsite, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, spam filtering mechanisms, computer equipment, software, inability to access any microsite, website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, including any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, House & Home Media and Sponsor reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entrants engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any Prizes won.
If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof of being the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search.
All decisions of the Sponsor and House & Home Media are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. The Sponsor and House & Home Media are not responsible for the failure, for any reason, of an eligible winner to receive notification or for the failure to receive the response of an eligible winner.
