Good deal BUT they use to guarantee the same rate of $199 on future renewal. That statement is not only missing but replaced by "Will my price change after the first year?
Yes. After your first year of membership, your subscription will renew on an annual basis at the then—current standard rate thereafter."

So just be aware of the difference and decide if it is still a good deal. I am giving it some thought since the price is good till the 15th.

This is a great deal. If you want to stay current in the tech industry (and others to like graphic design), this is the way to go. There is an insane amount of content on this platform - books, videos, live training, and others too. Definitely check it out.

FYI - I was able to apply this code to an existing account that was on month-to-month payments. After applying the code and switching to annual billing, it says I will be charged $199 on my next scheduled payment date.

No - books have to be viewed either through the web app or phone/tablet apps. You can download books or videos for offline viewing in the iOS and Android apps, however.

Having said that, a couple of people have created Chrome extension downloaders for books [google.com] and videos [google.com] that will allow you to make local copies.

How did you apply this to your existing subscription? I didnt see an option on the website and the call center person said that it cannot be done.Maybe because im on an annual plan ?

​Possibly because you were already on an annual plan. I had a spot on the Plans & Payments page where I could apply the promo code. After switching to Annual and applying the code, that text box is no longer there.

I have the student membership with ACM and have full access to safaribooksonline, even the app works fine. Only downside is needing to go to ACM website to log in to safari.

I believe only books are available via ACM. Can you please confirm, the Safari selection via ACM includes books, videos, tutorials, conference videos etc.?

I don't know if it works for every book, but one book I'm reading allowed me to print out an entire chapter at a time (25 pages for 1 chapter, 35 pages for another). That's good enough for my purpose.
