I think not. the bricks can be easily (or at least easier) replicated and there's no special/limited pieces/minifigs. The only thing that's collectible is the box. It is kind of rare that people collect lego for just the box? I may be totally off. Cheers.

Well that's not helpful unless you have a time machine and even then the set was hard to find for some people. And I don't think that one came with many tires. There may be other sets that have lower price per piece, but if tires are what you need, this one is your best buy.

Walmart does it every year. I agree it is a little hard for some people to grab at the Black Friday price. But it is plenty at the pre Black Friday price. If all you want is tires, better go to a lego store and just buy a bucket of tires. I guess it depends on where you live as well.

As others stated, only the "While Supplies Last" redemption booklet is numbered out of 15000, not the box being sold by Walmart. So mass produced 'Limited Edition' with a limited redemption option for the booklet.

PSA: These are becoming widely available in stores now with a tear pad of flyers telling customers how to receive the collectors book, so it is apparent that there are probably well over 15000 sets made. My small rural area's store had at least a dozen prominently displayed on an end cap in the toy section. Don't wait to request your book, or you might find yourself out of luck.

Edited to add: I found the brickseek link and saw all the stores around me had at least 16 in stock, so doing the math if there are 3500 stores and each got 16, that's 56000 sets. And that doesn't even count online sales.

Yeah this is absolute b******* I was going to come here and post the same thing. I'm in a Walmart now there's a whole display with at least 30 in stock and The Tear pad booklet as you described as well.

I'm sure more than 15,000 people walk in this store just today. Either the booklets have already been made and maybe there's a few thousand left for customers or Lego has some serious explaining to do.

I went to two stores in GA. I don't see any of them on the shelf even brickseek said those stores have at least 15. But I am 100% sure Walmart.com and Jet.com already sold over 15000 sets last week. I don't know why Lego created such a bad promotion this time.

Stores had security sensor covers (when you go in and out of the store) showing $25 price before release....
