It's aight. I have it in my hp spectre. You can do very light gaming on it, it was found to be slightly better than the gtx 950 on benchmark test if I remember correctly. Not meant for gaming though you will maybe be able to run stuff on low graphics.

Matte screen kinda sucks. The coating makes it a little blurry. Other than that it's really nice. Batt life is great.

I don't think it's a great price but it is a good price. Another $40-50 lower and it'd be great. FWIW I had a 940mx version of a similar Aspire and it ran relatively cool when doing basic stuff. With gaming it would run warmer though nothing I would consider hot.

My first ever laptop was an Acer. This price seems good for the specs. However, I want to play Civ6 on this laptop at the highest settings. Will that be possible with this GPU?

It isn't a card to get for a sole gaming machine. I have my gaming desktop already, and wanted an affordable quadi ultrabook. I purchased the Acer Swift version with the same specs as this (14" version).

For gaming, it'll play rocket league at 60fps at or near full settings on battery power (I'd rather have a few turned down to guarantee 60fps since I am soiled by 144Hz on my desktop).

It is NOT bad for what it is. However, if you're getting it with the sole purpose of having a long term gaming machine, you'll want 1050ti for a huge upgrade in gaming performance but likely either adding a bit of weight, or paying a decent price premium.

Another pro to this laptop is it does have the number pad as well (which my swift doesn't have unfortunately).
