Throw away the slow, power-hungry HDD and drop an M.2 SSD in there for $100 and this is a decently capable machine. Only other flaws I see are webcam placement and lack of usb-c.

I'm not sure about the 14" but the 13 inpiron 7000 2 in 1 has an M.2 pcie x4 slot and a 2.5 sata slot. So you can actually run 2 hard drives or a hard drive/ssd and Intel optane m.2 module. It also has the usb c and touch . Microsoft store just had a variant for $549 early this week will probably come again.
