FYI:

Nier Automata has not been updated since release, but there are fan patches that fix a good amount of issues.

Final Fantasy V, despite supporting cloud sync/saves, does not actually save your progress, it only saves your configuration. Your saves are local only.

Final Fantasy 7 and 8 both have Denuvo DRM. The DRM servers went down for about 20 hours this past week on an offline only game that locked out players.

There has never been an update to Nier on PC. And yes, it has a multitude of issues.

For anyone who likes RTS games, Supreme Commander 2 is on sale for about $4 and it's arguably one of the best of all time

My understanding was they never optimized, patched, or bothered to fix any of the issues with the PC port. Well after 1 year since release, the only update they offered was pay DLC expansion bull$hit.

Instead, Square Enix left it to the community (Steam) to fix their buggy game (specifically video issues) for them.
