How often does Ebay do sitewide coupon codes?

Does anyone know how often this happens? I have only seen twice but I haven't really been paying attention. Also is there anyway to get an alert specifically for these? I don't want to be alerted about every ebay coupon code only site wide. Thanks!

Not sure why the downvotes. It's an interesting question. I've only seen a handful that weren't limited to specific sellers.

I'm also curious, and having some frame of reference for how they handle these deals would let us all plan out purchases better. Seems, logical to me, and down-voting is unproductive.

They all seem tied to quarterly sales. If someone was really motivated they could search the SlickDeals history for "Ebay Coupon", "Ebay Flash Sale" and "Ebay Sitewide" then take the dates from those sales to figure out how Ebay plans these things out.

I'm not inclined to do it, but I'd sure by interested in the results.

I know of two so far this year already. Both in March. One for 20% off and one for 15% off. The theory that its tied to quarterly sales is probably dead on. I only know of one last year that I found on SD. So it seems they just started doing this recently but are now doing it more often.

1st month of quarter : none, maybe 1 bucks offer
2nd month of quarter: 2-3 coupons. In the past usually 15 off 75
Last month of quarter: 3-4 coupons. Last month there were two 15% and a 20%.

I expect a bucks or coupon weekly during the 2nd and 3rd month of each quarter.

I've seen more site wide coupon codes this last few months than usual. I don't think there is an answer since to my knowledge they've been targeted before; sellers or users. I might use ebay more if this continues.

Thanks for asking this. I have been waiting for one. Happened to be out of town when the 20% was on. So frustrating. So i would like to be alerted for the next one. I have a deal alert for it, i suppose i will tag it with sitewide now.

If it goes as years past, October would not get a sitewide coupon. Perhaps it's because it's the start of a new quarter or eBay wants to save it for Black Friday. But I hope to be proven wrong.
