So instead of defending their manager who made the call to oust several guys for loitering(which is allowed in a business cuz it's private property) they've opened themselves up to becoming a place where the homeless will congregate to use the crapper for their daily wash ups and to drop a deuce.

I honestly hope every single bum decided that this is the best place to shoot up heroin and cook crack. Maybe we can get a Meth lab like in Walmart.

Well, if you do your job and the manager does theirs, then this won't be a problem, right? Open to all doesn't mean open to illegal activity or other forms of abuse. It's not a manager's job to enforce the law and expecting them to do so endangers them and others. They make a determination and then call you guys, who presumably know how to handle the situation. So, what's the problem?

No where did I say there is a problem. I would gladly arrest or supervise the arrest of people committing crimes in Starbucks.
No idea why you even involve the manager in what I said. Or where it was stated he should enforce the law.

The end of Starbucks?

This will become 'home' for every drunk, drug addled, homeless person within walking distance of a Starbucks.. Sleeping in a nice cool or warm place, leaned over the table, barfing on the floor, messing up the restrooms, asking customers for money, eating/drinking customer leftovers, etc. The smell will be awful.

Using the bathroom and loitering are not the same thing. Not sure why people jump to crazy conclusions. And good for those dudes in the original post to turn this into a positive for the community, rather than just worrying about themselves.

Last year I was in a Starbucks on Market Street (San Francisco). I ordered a breakfast sandwich. A short time later the barista yells "Burgerwars, your sandwich is ready." Within seconds a woman (probably homeless) grabs it from the counter and runs out the door.

The store made me another. They weren't surprised. It probably happens there a dozen times a day.
