Levocetirizine Dibydrochloride is an allergy med also known as Xyzal, and is notoriously expensive OTC. Walmart near me charges $7.99 for 10. (0.79/pill). Nobody sells an OTC generic for it yet.
Costco has the generic for Xyzal, but you have to get to it via the pharmacy. If you do this right, you can get 90 tablets for $12.64 as a member, $19.01 without. That's like 0.15/pill!
1) Have doctor call in 90 (or even 120) day script to Costco for Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride. Your doc might say "oh that's over the counter", but you can still have them write a script so you can get the pharmacy price!!
2) If you aren't a Costco member, just tell them at the door you're going see the pharmacy and they will let you through.
3) Once at the pharmacy, if you are a member, sign up for the Costco CMPP plan - it's for cash customers to give you a discount on cash drugs like this.
4) My 90 day supply with CMPP was $12.64. Without, they said it's $19.01.
Still a great deal on this allergy med that works awesome for me, and glad I found this workaround rather than paying the inflated OTC pricing!
