Ni-cd batteries in 2018? Groce. I wouldn't buy that for my worst enemy. 14 more bucks can get you the lithium version.

Good deal for those who never use a drill but want to own a drill.

Piece of junk. POS

If you can't afford lithium but need a cheap drill that actually works, get a corded one for the same price:

Or, if you can afford extra 80 cents, get a 1/2 inch corded hammer drill:

Keep them for years on shelf and never worry about discharged Ni-Cad batteries.

Everything about this drill sucks from the low torque, slow speed, small chuck, wimpy charger and especially the ni-cad batteries, but the price is great. That makes this a good deal as long as you manage your expectations of what this is capable of and how long the battery will last (time per charge as wells as time before death).

Thumbs up from me, for the price, not the product.
I disagree. With b&d having 20 volt lithium ion options starting around $19.99 this is a horrible price, especially being nicad. Send me $15 and I'll send your a free harbor freight screwdriver. That's more of a deal than the

The $5 drill was a highly YMMV deal when Walmart cleared out an old model. This current deal appears to be available everywhere.
That's nothing. Walmart gave me money to take them away

This is a decent drill for the price. I bought one last year for the sole purpose of mounting my tv. Since then I have ended up using it many times for random light-duty stuff like assembling furniture or hanging pictures and it works fine. I actually just used it two days ago to put up shutters with no issues.

Pretty sure I grabbed a few of these for $10 a couple years back. Worthless.

Slick dealers do not buy Ni-Cd these days, this is a throw out item.

cons:
not slick
frustration when item fails to hold charge.
landfill item

Yikes...you can get 20v B&D for around this price. No idea why anyone would ever buy ni-cad batteries these days....do yourself a favor and don't.

I swear I saw these in the store for $22 last time I was there. Not a good enough deal. I bought out all the $5 20v lithium drills they had on clearance a while back within a 30 minute radius.

Nickel-Cadmium?! Surprised that hasn't been banned yet...as it should be.

This is more toy than tool. A genuinely disposable drill that most people will throw in the trash...leading to Cadmium ending up in drinking water. Do I even need to mention the (non-)performance of Ni-Cad batteries?
