Was passing by Virginia and popped into a local Walmart. Saw this mixer when passing through the kitchen stuff and noticed this rung up as $15. Of course I had to run back and get another one.

Dunno if 99 is a good price or not. Its tempting tho. I went to a local one for $75 but couldnt find it. I saw the model and the price tag was 250 but when i scanned using the app its popped up as $75

A local store supposedly has a couple of these in stock for $80, according to BS (although BS stock has always been a different type of BS, in my experience).

I'd been thinking about getting a Kitchenaid but wasn't sure it would get enough use to justify spending $200. Is this Cuisinart somewhat comparable, and worth $80? The $249 MSRP seems fishy atbest, since you could just buy a Kitchenaid for that and not worry about it.

The Cuisinart kitchen appliances that I have are the ones that outlived their Kitchenaid counterparts. I'm becoming a Cuisinart fan. Great price for this but all are 99 near me. Thanks OP

Watch some clips on YouTube - I was going back and forth between this one and a Kitchenaid and got the Cuisinart last time a deal was posted. I might actually go and get another one now for a gift.
This mixer is very nice, and very quiet as well. The Kitchenaids I looked at were much noisier. So far all I've done are some cake and muffin mixes...haven't tried the dough hook or anything.
This looks and feels very high quality, and it has a three year limited warranty as well.
I have a sister in law that does custom cakes as a side business and when she updated her mixer to a Kitchenaid, my brother actually asked her, "is it supposed to sound like that?" She took it back and exchanged it and the replacement sounded exactly the same.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't/isn't as noisy and "unhappy sounding" as something like an electric winch with straight-cut gears, but it's not something I want to listen to.
For $100 or less....the Cuisinart is a bargain in my opinion.

noise comes from the mechanical metal gears from kitchenaid mixer, Ive heard that these cusinart mixers have plastic gears hence theyre quiet can anyone confirm?
