This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.

Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:

Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945

Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548

HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-of-stock/

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-campaign/

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

Help! Do I need a separate wireless plan to attach this deal too. I don't have any att accounts. they want to force me to accept a $45 month wireless plan to get this deal on top of the $20/month
No, you don't need any other AT&T wireless accounts. I have multiple Mobley unlimited devices on one account and nothing else with AT&T wireless. Been with them since this deal came out. All have been in a Velocity since day one with zero issues.

Since AT&T started letting people do the $20 plan again with these the prices skyrocketed on most sites, if you don't already have one its probably not worth buying one now unless you can find locally, maybe facebook or craigslist or a phone app.

ATTs price on these was 150 so the current online prices aren't that much higher. When you factor in the savings you would have per month on the internet service, it is still an AMAZING deal.

Also for those of us located in rural areas, this is a no brainer deal.

I guess that's a point of perspective, when new ones are going for over $300 with some listings up to $799 I personally see it as skyrocketing prices, to each their own I guess. I'm sure you could get them used for less, but even those are going for more than they used to retail at.

The price hike makes it becomes a question of why even get that device at some point though, there are arguably better hotspots that cost less. I realize the $20 a month promotion is supposed to be for that device only but it been widely reported they work in others, so why not just pretend you have one and provide a valid IMEI "format" to get a sim mailed out to you and just put it in a better device?

Just called AT&T, the deal is dead and they have no more in stock and even. If you get your hands on a used one they will not give you the plan for $20

What number did you call? You cant call the main ATT number on this or even the Connected Car department. It's a special promotion and you have to call a certain number. Please read the wiki for detailed instructions.

You need to follow these steps which worked for us on Monday(another user reported that he was unable to find a representative who knew what they were doing yesterday but finally did).

Call this special promotion ATT number: 855-894-9945

If you already have the ZTE Mobley, have it ready and be prepared to provide the IMEI number to the phone representative. (If you don't have one yet, they can still be found new online on eBay, etc.)

When you call tell the representative that you want the Connected Car Unlimited plan for $20 per month and that you already have a Mobley. They'll ask you for the IMEI and get you set up and send out the SIM card.

Receive card and get FAST Unlimited data from AT&T for $20 per month!
I called that number, they said the just canceled the plan even if you have and old device

The guy selling one for 799 is trying to sell his account along with the device (not sure if this a legit propostition). Hes probably waiting until the paln goes away again which will boost his value.

Thanks for the heads up, Leewin! I called the number below to verify what you said and I started to get the the run around as well that he couldn't see the plan in the system, etc. so then I asked for the UConnect plan and he found and said the $20 per month plan is still available. So if you call, ask for the UConnect plan.

Here are the corrected steps to get this deal:

Call this special promotion ATT number: 855-894-9945

If you already have the ZTE Mobley, have it ready and be prepared to provide the IMEI number to the phone representative. (If you don't have one yet, they can still be found new online on eBay, etc.)

When you call tell the representative that you want the UConnect plan for $20 per month (it's a Chhrysler/Mopar promotional plan) and that you already have a Mobley. They'll ask you for the IMEI and get you set up and send out the SIM card.

Receive card and get FAST Unlimited data from AT&T for $20 per month!

USB connect doesn't work properly in either case (hangs on certain websites). Repeat mode works fine in both cases. The Ethernet connection to the M1 also works fine.
Do you or anyone else have more information as to why USB connection from Mobley to the router hangs for several seconds, randomly, when connecting via wifi to the router?
I'm experiencing this (for several months already).
I thought it was the router, but I also changed to another router, and exact same thing happens.
The computer connected via ethernet (wired) to the router doesn't experience this issue, only the clients (computer, laptop, phone, etc.) connected via wifi to the router.

As you said, setting the router as repeater works better, but then I experienced that Mobley would hang completely after a few days of use, requiring a reboot.

You've hit on a big reason why many/most people eventually find it best to move the SIM into a different hotspot device.

YES. I put mine directly into a LTE hacks router with modem inside. Never installed my sim in mobley. Just set up account yesterday.

I got the run around too... transferred twice... then a hard sell on the Spark.

Used the "Connected Car Unlimited plan for $20" before the Uconnect info was added...

will try again shortly

I am sorry you got the run around. Please post how your experience goes the second time; the plan is definitely still in the system as of earlier this afternoon.
