Hi all

I've been waiting for this since last year -- Costco only stocks these gazebo / pergola / "pavilion" seasonally.

Right now there is $200 off the normal price, plus another $300 off if you pick it up. There are 3 boxes that are pretty heavy, and about 8' long. You could probably get them into a pickup but I used a trailer. Have not installed yet but it looked great in store, and the reviews are very positive. Also there are videos on youtube showing unboxing and how to install.

With running water, a mist cooling system , refrigerator , 5.1 stereo sound with cheap tv and a college women's volleyball team to fetch beers between matches....Summertime and the living is easy.

Yup link show $1,799 - $200=$1,599. And it's normally $1,499 in store. Online price is nuts...🤔 I have been waiting for a sale too.

Believe it or not, but a permit may be required in your area for something this large. It is in my area because its above 120sf. Sure you can install it and hope no one complaints/notices, but you might face fines and letters from the city if caught.

Even my rural county requires anything over 10 feet wide OR 20 feet long to have a permit. I can't see this flying in most areas without one, though this looks like it would easily get permitted (after drawing up the plans w/dementions/angles of each piece), except the attachments between pieces would probably need beefing up, and it would have to be attached to some sort of foundation, or pilings.

I saw that in Costco at the lower price.

Then I saw the huge boxes.

And walked away!

Would this hold up to full sun in Arizona? Is there a finish this would require each year?

I really want to get one of these, but I need to clear out some trees on the side of my house first, and I keep procrastinating. This is year 3 that I've seen it and wanted it.

Does anyone have any experience with it? Need to read through the docs, but I'm assuming that it needs some sort of concrete base to make it windproof. It's heavy as all get out, but I can't imagine it can just sit flush on a flat surface without being secured.
