I got this kit for the same price from Massgenie. Unfortunately for me it won't run above 2800 on my Asrock Master SLI board. It's not the ram though as my Gskill Ripjaws V won't go over that speed either. Not very happy with this board right now.

I had similar issues on my Asus board. Make sure you put the voltage to 1.35V in the bios then manually set 3000. That worked for me. I believe these default to 1.2V for power savings, but are rated for 1.35V

Yeah, when the 3rd gen ryzen cpu's actually hit, if there is enough of a performance bump I might splurge for an updated mobo as well (once I can get both for cheap). I like my ryzen based system, but the mobo has caused some issues.
